Laal Yan . . .

Laal Yan is a charming, cosy, character cottage in a small terrace of similar cottages. Ideally situated a short, level stroll from the town centre. It has the benefit of parking provided near the cottage. There are fell views to the front and rear and the cottage is adjacent to the River Greta.

The cottage is beautifully furnished with great attention to detail put into the decoration and refurbishment of each room which was completed recently.

Accommodation is provided to sleep up to three people. With comfort in mind I have endeavoured to create a homely atmosphere throughout. Central heating is provided according to the time of year and the cottage is partially double glazed to ensure that it is warm and cosy - even in the depth of winter.

On entering the cottage the front door leads to a good sized lounge with comfortable seating for three people, colour teletext TV, video and various pictures of Lakeland fells. Additional heating is provided by a gas fire in a traditional style fireplace. Tourist information and a selection of walking books are also provided.

Adjoining the lounge is a spacious and well equipped kitchen and dining area. The fully fitted kitchen includes electric oven with gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer and washer / dryer. The dining area has a pine table and chairs. There is a heated utility room with plenty of hanging ang boot storage space at the rear and access to the patio area with furniture provided.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms - one double and one single. Both have coordinating furnishings and ample hanging and storage space.

 

The tiled shower room has electric power shower, wash basin and toilet.
