Lakes View . . .

Lakes View is a magnificent new property in Portinscale, just 1 mile from Keswick and completed in 2008. The house has stunning 360 views from Skiddaw across to Causey Pike and is a great location for exploring the Lakes or just relaxing in glorious surroundings.

Portinscale is a small village just fifteen minutes walk by an off-road footpath in to Keswick town centre. It has a pub, a shop, two tearooms and two marinas, with facilities for both hire and instruction for water sports. Portinscale is an ideal base for a walking holiday. Just a very few of the possibilities nearby are the Newlands Valley, the Coledale Horseshoe, the Allerdale Ramble, Causey Pike, Catbells or a gentle stroll along the shores of Derwentwater.

The house has four large bedrooms sleeping up to 6 guests (a mix of single and double beds are available). The level access ground floor bedroom has an ensuite wet room and there is a family bathroom. A large reception hall with a feature staircase. Good sized lounge opening on to the patio area via a bi-fold sliding door. The combined kitchen dining room features high quality fittings and appliances. There is a side "walkers' entrance" with a utility area and gardens to the front and rear. Ample private parking is provided and a large secure outbuilding is ideal for bikes, push-chairs etc. No smokers or pets please.

In September 2009 Lakes View achieved a Visit England 2009/10 Gold Award for exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service.
